We want better and are committed to making our ideal world a reality.

We are college students and recent graduates concerned with the direction of our climate and environment. At Counter Current, we love our planet.

Our love was developed by teachers, friends, and parents. They took us to the Coastal Studies Center on Orr’s Island to watch tiny bio-luminescence organism dance in the water. They showed us how snow camping in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains can be really fun and how breathtakingly beautiful the stars are at night. They shared their passion for the wild by refusing to take us to the zoo because animals don’t belong in cages and instead inspired us to conduct research at Yellowstone National Park.

Why can’t our world be sustainable? Why can’t corporate practices work in harmony with nature? Why do we subsidize coal when we could be subsidizing the same employees to develop renewable energies?
